Executive Assistant

Midland Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of loading valves, pressure relief valves and level gauges for the railroad tank car, marine barge, and ISO storage container markets in North America. We are a successful business and continually searching for new ways to improve operations and grow top and bottom line results through lean and other progressive initiatives. Midland is owned by the Dover Corporation, a global portfolio of manufacturing companies providing innovative components and equipment, specialty systems and support services for a variety of applications in the industrial products, engineered systems, fluid management and electronic technologies markets with $7 billion in annualized revenues.

We have an immediate need for an energetic Executive Assistant reporting directly to our President. This role will require flexibility and versatility, as this individual will be assuming a wide range of business and administrative duties:

• Collecting, organizing, analyzing and presenting business data and reports
• Assisting with the management of the President’s schedule and meeting preparations
• Coordinating and scheduling travel arrangements for senior managers, including the negotiation of corporate rates
• Creating, analyzing and maintaining sales reports and databases
• Leading the establishment of an employee activities committee
• Handling a variety of special projects

The qualified candidate must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and also desktop publishing. A four year degree, preferably in a business major, is highly desired and may open the door to future opportunities within our Company. Superior communication, interpersonal and project management skills are also required, as is one to two years of previous experience.
